I went to Israel and my trip took an (un)expected turn.
I got invited by an Israeli NGO to join a delegation of anti-Zionist and otherwise critical Jews from Europe on a trip to Israel/Palestine. This was not a visit of personal discovery, nor an attempt to reconcile with a so-called Jewish homeland. The purpose was political: to build solidarity among anti-Zionist European Jews, to connect with resistance movements on the ground, and to break the isolation that many of us experience in our activism.
